Since its founding in 1994, Boston Women Communicators has dedicated itself to supporting women in communications and helping them to advance their careers by working to ensure equal opportunities in the industry, encourage professional development, and recognize the achievements of outstanding women communicators.  

The over 200 members of Boston Women Communicators are drawn from all levels of publishing, editing, journalism, corporate communications, marketing, advertising, PR, graphic design, education and Web-related writing and design.  The organization has offices in Boston's West End.

BWC Founder and Executive Director  Jane Breschard Wilson met with  
award winning news correspondent and
journalist Maria Hinojosa at 
Bunker Hill Community College. Hinojosa, anchor and executive producer of Latino USA, on National Public Radio, appeared at BHCC as part of their Compelling Conversations series celebrating Women's History month. She spoke on "America by the Numbers: An Honest Look at the Racial Inequality in Our Nation."
