Since its founding in 1994, Boston Women Communicators has dedicated itself to supporting women in communications and helping them to advance their careers by working to ensure equal opportunities in the industry, encourage professional development, and recognize the achievements of outstanding women communicators.
The over 200 members of Boston Women Communicators are drawn from all levels of publishing, editing, journalism, corporate communications, marketing, advertising, PR, graphic design, education and Web-related writing and design. The organization has offices in Boston's West End.
BWC's 2019 President, Kelley Connors, graduated cum laude from BU's School of Medicine with a Masters Degree in Public Health and a Certificate in Public Communication from BU's School of Communication. A life long learner, she received a certificate of completion from the Benson Henry Institute of Mind Body Medicine at MGH.
